Haven From Hunger

Skipping dinner. Eating less! Giving up food in order to pay rent. This is what thousands of people in Peabody and Salem face every day.The Haven from Hunger is the critical link between food and people. We provide food to nearly 200 people a week.Hunger impacts people in all walks of life. We reach them all – from working families to senior citizens. This year, we are on track to distribute more than 2 million pounds of food to meet an ever-growing need in our community.

We welcome individuals, families and small groups of friends to get involved as volunteers at Haven From Hunger. From sorting canned food donations to leading nutrition education classes, our volunteers make a big difference in the community.

Food repack

Turn bulk food into ready to use, family-friendly packages in HFH's Pood Pantry, sort and inspect perishable food , or join us for a fast-paced, food sorting adventure in serving our clientel.
